Newspaper Articles

1909

Inyo Register, May 20, 1909
“Reports circulated some weeks ago that the Lucky Boy mines were closed down because of a conflict of title to the ground were without foundation in the fact at that time. The untoward turn may come to pass, however, as there are mutterings of litigation. One man who tells the Goldfield Tribune about it says the Yerington’s sold to the state certain lands for school purposes and were given in return a large tract of ground embracing all rights. The other side claims only surface and timber rights went in the transfer. Between the two versions there is difference enough to prove costly to somebody, if the battle opens.”
