Summary: John E. Meroney felling into a machine at a Mammoth lumber mill and lost some of his fingers.

Summary: Death of Calvin B. Whitacre. He had lived in the region for eight years, coming from Enterprise, Oregon. He was 56 years of age. He was on a camping trip in Mammoth when he died, presumably of a heart attack.
